Is Legacy Prep a Montessori School?
Legacy Prep is not a traditional Montessori school, but we embrace and incorporate some of the best aspects of the Montessori learning model. These include mixed-age classrooms, student choice within structured limits, extended work periods, learning through discovery, and freedom of movement within the classroom.
We take it a step further by integrating e-learning tools, utilizing the community as an extension of our classroom, and designing projects that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our approach blends timeless educational philosophies with modern innovation to create a truly unique learning experience.
Will Legacy Prep Accept Scholarships?
Yes, Legacy Prep proudly accepts the FES-UA (formerly Gardiner Scholarship) and FES-PEP Scholarships. Additionally, we offer tuition assistance on a case-by-case basis for students who demonstrate a strong fit for our program. Our goal is to foster a diverse and inclusive community of learners while providing access to quality education for all families.
How is student progress communicated to parents?
We offer two formal parent-teacher conferences each year for detailed discussions about your child's progress. Additionally, informal meetings can be arranged upon request. For infants and toddlers, we provide daily or weekly notes that detail your child’s activities and overall care.
